A2 TEXTILES: ANNOTATING YOUR WORK
To gain the most amount of marks your annotation should record some of your thought processes and self reflection - they should be evaluative and not just descriptive.
Erin suggests that you complete annotations per double page and should set out to explain the following:
- what am I trying to achieve here? e.g. record colours, shapes, patterns, textures, qualities of primary sources or artists work
- what media/techniques have I used?
- how do they link to my theme and ideas?
- compare results: which have come out most successfully and why?
- if I had any problems how did I overcome them?
- what ideas do I have for improving them or developing them further?
- add any technical notes to help remember: stitch length, yarn weight, heat press timings etc.

A1 TEXTILES : Snow Day work
Please use today to bring your floral project up to date. Follow the order as below and annotate to explain your processes and how they link to your trend research.
On Monday we will start a new topic and look at the artist Jane Bowler and how she uses plastics and macrame in her work. We will have a go at some techniques on Monday and on Tuesday you will have a mock exam to write an artist research about her.
